ACP Miller condemns the Hanover triple murder

Five men were killed in separate incidents in Hannover yesterday.

The last incident was a triple murder.

Dead are 23-year-old Merrick Calvin of the Johnson Town district, Michael Collins of the Jew Hill district of Lucea, both in Hanover, and an unidentified man.

Another person was injured in the attack, which took place around 9 p.m

Police reports indicate the men were at a construction site in Johnson Town when they were attacked by two armed men riding a motorcycle.

The men opened gunfire on the group before escaping into the area.

The injured men were taken to the hospital where Calvin, Collins and the other man were pronounced dead.

Glenford Miller, Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP responsible for Area One, today visited with other members of his team and Minister of National Security Dr. Horace Chang takes the stage.

Acting ACP Miller condemned the incident.

Meanwhile, 35-year-old Teron Hart, also known as ‘Croppa’ from Lance Bay in Hanover, was shot dead by gunmen yesterday around 2.30pm.

The incident took place at a business location in the transportation center in Lucea.

According to police reports, residents heard explosions and alerted them.

Responding officers found Hart lying on the ground, in a pool of blood, with gunshot wounds to his head.

Hart was pronounced dead at the hospital.

And 43-year-old undertaker Robert Williams, also known as Bangy, from the Cauldwell district of Hanover, was shot dead at his business premises in Harding Hall yesterday.

According to reports, Williams was sitting at the back of a building at about 1 p.m. when he was approached by a gunman, who opened fire, hitting him several times in the upper body.

The death was confirmed in hospital.
