Storm damage across the lake mainly blows over trees and power lines – News/Talk KRMS

Reports of damage from severe storms that moved through the lake area late Thursday and Friday night and early morning were mixed.

According to Jason Foster with the emergency management office, most of the damage in Morgan County was minor compared to what could have happened.

“Trees and branches have usually fallen on private property. Many of them touch high-voltage cables, but many high-voltage cables are also broken. I also reported some property damage.”

An area along the D-Road near Versailles seemed to be hit harder than other areas.

In Camden County, EMA Director Samatha Dale also says fallen trees are responsible for most damage reports, especially in western parts of the county.

And in Miller County, Mike Rayhart with the emergency services office says there were few or no reports of damage.
