Storms result in overturning cars in Lawrence Twp., NJ and downing trees in Pennsylvania counties

Storms moved through the Philadelphia region on Friday, leaving damage in their wake.

In Lawrence Township, New Jersey, several cars were overturned in a post office parking lot.

Witnesses say it happened along the 2600 block of Brunswick Avenue at approximately 6:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service is investigating the damage but has not confirmed whether a tornado touched down in the area.

In Bucks County, a fallen tree caused problems for drivers along southbound Interstate 95.

It happened in Cornwells Heights, Pennsylvania, near the exit to the SEPTA lot.

One lane was closed while emergency services worked to clear the roads.

Finally, in the Lehigh Valley, a tree fell on a house due to the rough weather.

The tree fell along the 800 block of Maple Road in Hellertown, Pennsylvania, just before 6 p.m.

No injuries were reported in this incident.
