Rajasthan: Two killed and six injured when truck collided with bus in Bharatpur

Two people were killed and at least six injured when a public transport bus from Rajasthan and a speeding truck collided in Bharatpur, police said on Saturday. Read more on Dynamite News:

Rajasthan: Two people were killed and at least six injured when a public transport bus from Rajasthan and a speeding truck collided in Bharatpur, police said on Saturday.

The accident took place on Sevar road in Bharatpur and the diver of the bus and a motorcyclist who were hit in the accident were killed.

The condition of some of the injured is critical and they are being treated at the ICU of RBM Government Hospital in Bharatpur.

The accident took place around 8 am today at Mustard Research Center intersection on Sevar-Bharatpur Road, said Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI) Amarchand of Sevar police station.

“The truck traveling from Mathura bypass hit the bus coming from Bayana. A cyclist was also hit in the accident. Pratap (50), a resident of Richoli village in Bayana and Harbhan (35), a resident of Tikaria in Rudawal died in the accident,” the police official said.

The ASI said the injured passengers were identified as Nirmala, Mahatavi, Sandeepa and Arun, residents of Bharatpur town, Uchhain. All the injured have been admitted to RBM Government Hospital.

The deceased motorcyclist was identified as a railway employee, the police official said. The police also say they are investigating the accident. (with input from the Agency)
