Two motorcyclists die in a crash in Wright County

WRIGHT COUNTY, Minn. (FOX 9)Two motorcyclists were killed Friday afternoon after colliding with a pickup truck in Wright County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened around 12:45 a.m. at Highway 24 and 179th Street Northwest in Clearwater Township.

A 28-year-old man driving a pickup turned left and headed north on Highway 24, while a 50-year-old man driving a motorcycle headed south on Highway 24, authorities said. Both vehicles then collided at the intersection.

According to police, the man driving the motorcycle was killed in the accident. A passenger on the motorcycle, a 46-year-old woman, was also killed.

The driver and passenger, a 27-year-old man, of the pickup truck were not injured in the crash, according to authorities.

According to state police, the two on the motorcycle were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
