Amit Shah expresses his condolences over the Rudraprayag passenger’s accident

Home Minister Amit Shah expressed condolences over the loss of lives in the accident and said the local administration and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams are carrying out rescue operations. Ten people were killed and 13 injured after the temporer they were traveling in fell into a deep gorge on the Badrinath Highway in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand on Saturday.

Officials said four of the injured suffered serious injuries and were being treated. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed condolences over the loss of lives in the accident and said the seriously injured passengers are being airlifted to AIIMS Rishikesh.

“Instructions have been issued to the officials concerned for better treatment of the injured,” he said. The bus was on its way from Noida to Rudraprayag when it fell into the 150-metre deep gorge.

Superintendent of Police Rudraprayag Dr Vishakha Ashok Bhadane said rescue efforts are ongoing in the Tempo Traveler accident. The seven injured in the tempo traveler accident in Rudraprayag have been shifted to AIIMS Rishikesh. (ANI)
