A men’s health week is held

TEHRAN – National Men’s Health Week will be held from June 13 to 19 with the theme ‘Healthy Men, Strong and Young Iran.’

Men’s Health Week is an annual celebration that aims to raise awareness of the health challenges men face and promote strategies for better physical and mental well-being.

The week aims to raise awareness of men’s health and encourage all men to seek help to tackle any health problems they may be experiencing.

The days of the week are named as follows.

Thursday, June 13, ‘Prevention and timely detection of infertility in men’.

Friday, June 14, ‘Health Literacy, Fertility and Men’s Health’.

Saturday, June 15, ‘Persian medicine and men’s health’.

Sunday, June 16, ‘Occupational situations and fertility health in men’.

Monday, June 17, ‘Prevalent cancers in men; Stomach, prostate, bladder’.

Tuesday, June 18, ‘Back pain and work-related diseases in men’.

Wednesday, June 19, ‘Traffic accidents, disability and male death’.

International Men’s Health Week was created in 1994 to raise awareness of preventable health problems and encourage the early detection and treatment of diseases among men and boys.

The Law on Family and Youth Support and the Contribution of Childbearing Incentives is part of the program implemented under the supervision of the late President’s administration. It resulted in offering free infertility treatments to couples so that they could benefit from numerous services.

There are about 400 difficult-to-treat diseases. Currently, the number of diseases covered by insurance is 107.

The frequency of these 107 diseases is higher than that of other diseases.

According to authorities, the chance of becoming infected with the other diseases is so small that there are fewer than 100 cases of people suffering from them.

The Family Health Program and Electronic Referral System are one of the main priorities of the Ministry of Health, which is designed and implemented to increase access to health services and strengthen the country’s healthcare network system.

Under the program, a health team consisting of two healthcare providers and a doctor is responsible for 3,000 people.
