Allu Arjun and Atlee have been making a lot of noise for a while now about the news of their upcoming film together. However, it appears that the project may not get off the ground again due to remuneration issues with the director.

In a recent report by Telugu 360, the jawan director asked for a fee of Rs 80 crores for his next film. This has reportedly resulted in producers who will be bankrolling Allu Arjun films pulling out of the project.

Is Allu Arjun and Atlee’s upcoming film on the shelves?

According to the same report, Atlee and Allu Arjun had held several meetings over time and narrated the basic plot of the film. However, now that the director is demanding such a huge fee, the producers seem to be taking the exit.

Moreover, the report also states that the director is looking for another lead actor for the film, while Allu Arjun is yet to greenlight his next film after Pushpa 2: The Rule. While an official statement from the actor or director is yet to be made, there are speculations about their possible collaboration.

On the work front, Atlee was last seen directing the much-celebrated Shah Rukh Khan film Jawan. The film starring SRK in the dual role of father and son focuses on the theme of two individuals bent on eradicating corruption in their society while taking revenge on an age-old enemy.

The film featured Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Riddhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan and many more in pivotal roles. The film also had Deepika Padukone in an extended cameo role, playing SRK’s wife and mother respectively. The film was a huge commercial success with Anirudh Ravichander delivering some banger songs.

Allu Arjun will star in his next film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar. The film marks the sequel to their 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise, which sees the stylish star reprise his role as Pushpa Raj.

The film also features Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Sunil, Rao Ramesh and many more in pivotal roles. The film is expected to be released on August 15, 2024.
