Elon Musk accused of sexual harassment at SpaceX

Elon Musk is being sued for sexual harassment as a new report details the billionaire’s relationships with women at SpaceX.

Eight fired SpaceX engineers filed the lawsuit against Musk for creating “an unwelcome, hostile work environment based on his conduct by posting vile sexual photos, memes and comments in the workplace that demeaned women and/or the LGBTQ+ community.” ”

Bloomberg reports that the prosecutors were fired in retaliation for a letter they wrote in 2022 expressing concern that Musk was mocking allegations of misconduct against him.

Prosecutors allege that SpaceX executives and Musk participated in a video that mocked sexual misconduct and banter, including a scene in which an employee demonstrated the proper way to hit a co-worker.

“We must pursue every avenue possible to pursue our claims,” said plaintiff Tom Moline. “Even Elon, with all his wealth and power, isn’t above being held accountable, right?”

The lawsuit comes after the Wall Street Journal reported that Musk had sex with an employee and a former intern, offered to buy a woman a horse in exchange for sexual acts, and asked another woman to have his babies.

While none of these women have filed a lawsuit or complaint against Musk, prosecutors have indicated that a high-level group around Musk is complicit in not applying the company’s rules to him, contributing to a culture of sexism and harassment .

According to several executives and board members who spoke to the Journal, Musk has used illegal drugs such as LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, mushrooms and ketamine with some board members.
