One certificate of conformity

The documents showing the tax and social security declaration will be combined into one certificate from the end of September.

The two necessary documents for taxpayer transactions will become a single certificate that will be issued quickly through the digital portal on Gov.gr. It is valid for any intended use and is compulsorily accepted by both private and public entities. As tax authorities sources emphasize, the single certificate will put an end to the suffering of citizens and companies that need tax and social security approval for their transactions.

According to the plan, citizens will submit their applications on the new digital platform from September. After submission, an automatic check of the uploaded data takes place and then – provided all criteria are met – the certificate of financial compliance is issued, with the same conditions that apply today for the issuance of the two approval documents.

Any person or company can, through a dedicated platform accessible through the Unified Digital Portal of the Public Administration (gov.gr-EPSP), request the issuance of a single certificate of financial compliance. The certificate contains the details of proof of tax return and proof of social security compliance and is issued in digital format.

The Financial Awareness Certificate is considered valid for any legal use and is compulsorily accepted by all public and private sector bodies, as well as by companies and individuals, the courts of all levels and the prosecution agencies of the entire country when legally required to do so provide proof of compliance above.

For the issuance of the certificate of financial awareness, the platform, through interoperability, obtains the necessary data from the tax register information system of the Independent Public Revenue Authority and the information system of the Electronic National Social Security Administration, with the support of the Interoperability Center of the Ministry of Digital Management.
