Exchange open or closed for Bakrid – Monday 17 June a public holiday?

Trade fair holiday June 2024: In addition to weekends, the NSE holiday calendar also includes various national and cultural holidays. The NSE will have a one-day closure on June 17, 2024, observing Bakri Id.

Trade fair holiday June 2024: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will both close for one day, in June 2024. More specifically, in observance of Bakri Id, both exchanges will close on June 17. The BSE has stated that this Today, trading would be suspended in the following sectors: equities, equity derivatives, SLB, currency derivatives and interest rate derivatives.

To provide a seamless trading experience, the NSE allows trading activities throughout the year. Traders have a 6 hour 15 minute window from 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM during regular trading hours on weekdays. In addition, trading holidays are observed on Saturdays and Sundays, during which there is no trading in equity derivatives, SLB or equity divisions.
