Two men killed in separate weekend crashes in Nova Scotia: Police

Police in Nova Scotia are investigating two fatal collisions that occurred Friday and Saturday.

Halifax RCMP say they responded Friday evening to a report of a collision on Highway 2 – which runs from Halifax to Fort Lawrence on the New Brunswick border.

They say a 30-year-old man on a dirt bike was killed when the bike went off the road and crashed.

Hours later, officers in Cape Breton say they responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 19 in Inverness County around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Inverness County RCMP say early investigation indicates a Toyota Tacoma was traveling north when it left the road and crashed.

Police say the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 32-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
