Kolkata Metro timings on Eid-ul-Zuha: Commuters to get special night service, know full schedule of trains on Blue and Green Line – Infrastructure News

Kolkata Metro on Saturday announced that it will operate a reduced number of trains on the Blue Line, i.e. from Dakshineswar to New Garia, on June 17, in observance of Eid-Ul-Zuha.

Adjustment of Blue Line Services on Eid-ul-Zuha

On an ordinary day: Metro Railway has 288 trains. However, due to the holiday on Monday, only 214 trains will run.

Train schedule:

First train: The first train leaves at 6.50 am from Dumdum to Kavi Subhash (New Garia) and at the same time from Kavi Subhash to Dakshineshwar.

Last train: The last train from Dumdum to Kavi Subhash leaves at 9:40 PM. Similarly, the last train from Kavi Subhash to Dumdum also leaves at 9:40 PM.

Special Night Service: After the last scheduled service, a special night service will depart at 11 p.m. with one pair of trains departing from Kavi Subhash and Dumdum stations.

Adjustments to the green line services of the Kolkata Metro

The Green Line (Sealdah to Salt Lake Sector V) will also see a reduction in service. Instead of the usual 106 trains, only 90 trains run on this route.

Train schedule:

The trains run at 20-minute intervals all day long.

Service start time: The first train leaves at 6:55 am.

For the Green Line-2 (Howrah Maidan-Esplanade) and other corridors, Metro Railway will maintain its regular services. There will be no changes to the train timetables on these routes.

By adjusting train schedules, Metro Railway aims to accommodate the reduced passenger loads expected during the holidays, while still providing essential services for those who need to travel.
