Vaishnaw highlighted the significant reforms and achievements in the railway sector under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi in the last decade.

“People have once again blessed Prime Minister Modi to serve the country. The railways will play a very important role. Over the past decade, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has introduced many reforms in the railways sector. Be it electrification of railways, construction of new tracks, new types of trains, new services or redevelopment of stations, these are the major achievements of Prime Minister Modi in the last decade,” Vaishnaw said.

“The Prime Minister has kept the spotlight on railways because railways are the means of transport of the common man and a very strong backbone of our country’s economy, so there is a lot of focus on railways. Modi Ji has an emotional bond with the railways. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he added.

Vaishnaw will be responsible for regulating and facilitating the media landscape, ensuring the freedom and development of the press, and addressing the challenges posed by digital transformation and disinformation.
