UPSC Exam 2024 Live: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the Civil Services Prelims exam today (June 16). We work in two shifts: morning and afternoon. While the morning shift for GS Paper 1 starts at 9:30 AM, the afternoon shift for GS Paper 2 (CSAT) starts at 2:30 PM.

Candidates must bring their admit card to the exam center and a valid identity card (Aadhar/Pan Card) with the candidate’s photograph on it. Candidates appearing for the exam can visit the official website of the Commission –, and download the UPSC CSE 2024 prelims admit card.

The exam is conducted in three phases: the preliminary examination, the main examination and the personality test to select officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), the Indian Police Service (IPS) and other Grade A and B posts in the Central Government and its departments.

The UPSC CSE exam will consist of objective questions. Candidates who score above the cut-off marks are eligible to apply for the UPSC IAS Main exam. UPSC CSE Main will be descriptive followed by an interview round for selection of candidates for the various services and posts.

To qualify for the exam, a candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years by August 1. This means that the candidate must have been born no earlier than August 2, 1992 and no later than August. August 1, 2003, the Commission said while releasing the CSE notification.
