‘Where is she?’ ask BBC Breakfast fans as presenter misses yet another show due to presenter changes

BBC Breakfast continued its programming shake-up today.

Jon Kay and Sally Nugent are usually on air for the first three days of the week.

However, BBC bosses appeared to be making a major change when it came to the iconic red sofa.

Despite his role as one of the main faces of the marathon general election coverage, Jon, 54, quickly returned to BBC Breakfast.

However, his regular co-host Sally, 52, has not yet returned to the Salford-based programme.

The star was absent yesterday as royal correspondent Sarah Campbell took over her duties.

And today Sarah replaced the presenter, as Sally was once again not present in the studio.

Jon sat comfortably on the couch, dressed in a sleek navy suit and mint green tie as he headed out without his regular partner.

Meanwhile, Sarah wore a simple navy polo shirt and a long red skirt as she kept her fans updated with the latest news.

Viewers who watched Tuesday’s (July 9) broadcast were clearly surprised when they reported this via social media.

Some were concerned because the show didn’t mention where Sally was, even though they posted it on X, formerly known as Twitter.

One fan wrote: “I turned on #BBCBreakfast but Sally is nowhere to be seen. What’s going on? 🤷🏻‍♀️.”

While a second added: “Where was Sally Nugent?????????”

Other viewers, however, seemed to be very happy with the program’s offerings. They had already praised the new duo.

A fan shouted: “Good morning Jon and Sarah.”

A second viewer commented: “Good morning, wonderful, fantastic people.”

Who are the current presenters of BBC Breakfast?
