The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, will attend this year’s Ministerial Forum on Educational Technology for Resilient and Inclusive Learning in Africa, taking place in Abuja, Nigeria from 8 to 11 July.

The forum, funded by the Mastercard Foundation, is a biennial ministerial forum or event that brings together education ministers and other stakeholders to discuss how education systems can be transformed using technology.

“Educational Technology for Resilient and Inclusive Learning in Africa” is the theme of the forum, which ties in with the African Union Year of Education.

The forum brings together Ministers of Education and ICT from 20 African countries and experts in educational technology to discuss measures to harness the power of technology to create resilient educational technology systems in Africa that promote learning for all.
The 2024 Ministerial Forum will be preceded by the first Mastercard Foundation EdTech Conference, taking place from July 8-10, 2024.
The conference brings together technical participants such as policymakers, EdTech innovators, experts, development organizations and students to discuss the state of EdTech in Africa and explore opportunities to strengthen technology-driven education.

Dr. Adutwum will attend the forum along with other experts from the ministry. It is expected that their recommendations will be discussed and integrated into the final document to be prepared after the forum.
