ITV drama returns, adds Blue Lights and Line of Duty stars

ITV’s recurring drama Negligence has added several new cast members for the second season, including Blue lights And Line of duty stars as filming begins.

The series, which premiered last year, has been renewed for a second run in late 2023. The episodes will see Dr. Norma Callahan (Helen Behan) and Dr. George Adjei (Jordan Kouamé) investigate a new cast of suspected medical negligence.

This time the ensemble is joined by: Blue lights‘Hannah McClean and Line of duty‘s Ace Bhatti, next to VictoriaTom Hughes – who will be this season’s lead actor, Dr. James Ford.

Season 2 follows psychiatric nurse Ford, who is committed to helping his patients despite his life being a mess and his colleagues at the North Yorkshire hospital thinking he is arrogant.

“As he torn between life as a new mother on a routine check-up and locking up an overly psychotic woman during a busy shift, no one could have foreseen the dire consequences,” the synopsis reads.

“As George and Norma discover a hospital seemingly at war with itself, how far will James go to keep his position? Is he a doctor with a god complex or the victim of greater problems?”

Creator Grace Ofori-Attah is back to write the new episodes and said last year when the series was renewed: “I can’t wait to delve into a new and exciting area of ​​medicine, exploring the complex bonds and divisions within hospital teams that push our characters to their limits.”
