Scarlett Johansson jokes her husband’s film cameo was due to prenuptial agreement – Film News | Film-News.co.uk

Scarlett Johansson joked that her husband had a cameo in her new film because it was in their prenuptial agreement.

The actress is currently promoting her new romantic comedy Fly Me to the Moon and attended the film’s New York City premiere on Monday night with her husband Colin Jost.

Scarlett, who also co-produced the film, joked that she insisted on Colin appearing in the project because director Greg Berlanti is a big fan of the comedy writer and actor.

“Greg is a huge fan (of Colin’s),” Scarlett explained to Jimmy Fallon during an appearance on The Tonight Show on Monday. “And Colin, I think he had to do it because it’s in our prenup. If I have to do something, he has to be there to support me.”

Scarlett and Colin married in 2020 and welcomed their first child together, a son named Cosmo, in 2021.

The 39-year-old actress also said that Colin helps her prepare for film projects by going through scripts with her.

“I do the lines with him, which is great,” she explained. “You would think that would be really helpful because you have a partner helping you, you can learn your lines, you know, for tomorrow, whatever.”

Scarlett joked, however, that Colin sometimes went too far with rehearsals and put too much time into his performance.

“He does like it really serious, he really puts effort into reading the text. And it’s not always the performance that I want,” she laughed.

“Then I think: just say the text.”

Fly Me to the Moon, starring Channing Tatum and Woody Harrelson, is out this week.
