Ruth Langsford makes a sensational return to television next week.

The star is set to return to Loose Women and all eyes are on her as she prepares to spill the tea over her split from husband Eamonn Holmes. The TV favourite, 64, has been off the radar since April, leaving fans in the dark after her marriage to the father-of-four ended.

Ruth has been rumoured to have kept quiet about the whole split drama, but now she believes she owes Loose Women fans the truth as she returns to the panel.

A source told MailOnline that Ruth’s comeback will undoubtedly tug at the heartstrings. The insider said: “Ruth knows that viewers are heavily invested in her split, so she will address her and Eamonn for the first time on the show.

“The audience has seen the highs and lows of her relationship, she’s always been very open and honest and next week will be no different… she owes it to the viewers to say something about it.

“She’ll be surrounded by the people she’s closest to on the show and then draw a line under it… She has no plans to do a big interview, this will be the only time she speaks.”

Following a worrying Instagram post about his mobility issues, Eamonn Holmes revealed that he finds it difficult to walk. The GB News presenter expressed his concerns in a photo of himself leaning against a doorway, captioning it: “Hard to get up but next aim is to walk to a birthday party today. How about you?”

Eamonn’s followers flooded in with comments like: “You’re doing great Eamonn, keep it up xx” and advice like: “Keep moving Eamonn, no matter how painful it is. Every little movement helps.”

The worrying development comes after the TV veteran struggled with severe back pain, which led to his use of a high-tech wheelchair at the TRIC Awards. The star spoke candidly about feeling “borrowed”, referring to the loss of his father to a heart attack at the age of 65.

His health problems come shortly after the end of his long-term marriage to Ruth Langsford. Holmes, a stalwart of TV presenters, is reportedly relying on the support of girlfriends since news of the couple’s split emerged, sending shockwaves through the entertainment world.

According to Best magazine, the star hopes to bond with Ruth in the long term. When asked about the couple’s relationship status, he replied: “It’s too early to say, but I hope we can still be friends.”
