Body of missing Flagstaff woman found near Snowbowl after husband agrees to plea agreement – KAFF News – Flagstaff

A little more information has emerged about the disappearance of 45-year-old Kelly Paduchowski and her husband’s confession to killing her last week. KAFF News has learned that shortly after 58-year-old Daniel Paduchowski agreed to a plea deal in which he would plead guilty to second-degree murder and other charges, he led investigators to just off Highway 180 and North Hart Prairie Road. That’s where Kelly’s body was found around 10 a.m. Friday. There is still no word on how she was killed. During the investigation, according to documents, Kelly and Daniel were arguing inside their home in the Coconino Estates neighborhood. Neighbors told police they heard her yell his name and then saw her lying face down with Daniel on top of her. Flagstaff police say no one called 9-1-1 from the area during the argument. Investigators later found blood around the outside of the home. Kelly’s phone placed her at Schultz Creek Trial around 10:30 a.m. last Sunday, with Daniel in the same area about an hour later. Her phone was returned to their home around 12:13 a.m. Kelly’s car was found at Campbell Mesa Trailhead around 1:30 a.m. and Daniel called police to say she was not home and that she may have been in Lake Mary around 7:39 a.m. Daniel pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence, concealing a corpse, and possession of a dangerous drug. He will spend 16 years in prison without the possibility of parole. Daniel is scheduled to appear in court on September 10 at 1:30 p.m., where the judge will officially accept the plea and formally sentence Daniel.
