I crocheted my wedding dress and the groom’s tux – haters say it’s tacky, but we love it

This bride really makes an impression.

For crochet couturier Tymesha Triggs, translating her love story into beautiful bridal wear was second nature. She made her floor-length wedding dress, as well as her groom’s tuxedo, for their June 29 wedding.

“It was a wedding day that looked like a crochet wedding,” Triggs, an Ohio-based craftsman, raved in the Facebook caption of her and husband Ricardo Scott’s homemade “I Do” outfit.

Triggs, the owner of Crochet Crochet & Accessories in Cincinnati, sewed the stunning dress for herself, Scott and two bridesmaids in just 30 days, without sleeping, she joked online.

The handy clotheshorse accessorized her large day dress, which she finished in a week, with crocheted earrings, crocheted gloves and a tiara. Triggs completed her men’s ensemble, which took her about 10 days to assemble, complete with a crocheted hat and an ornate tuxedo pocket.

Both her bridesmaid and guest of honor wore aqua blue numbers with slits and decorative straps.

Since tying the knot, the newlywed designer has dubbed herself and Scott the “#CrochetCouple.”

And their crochet look has become popular on social media.

“This is absolutely beautiful… so talented and creative. Love, love,” exclaimed one impressed onlooker.

“Coolest thing I’ve seen in a long time,” cheered another.

“Yes you did!” wrote another commenter. “Congratulations.”

But Triggs isn’t the only super-skilled sweetheart who’s designed her own sacred wedding outfit.

Big Apple bride Esther Andrews spent nine months hand-knitting her wedding dress while commuting to work on the subway.

And Morgan Rusinko transformed her ‘hot’ dress into a cute cocktail dress, cutting off the tulle skirt, just moments after exchanging vows with her new husband.

“POV: Your wedding dress is too hot so you cut it during the reception,” the sassy brunette said in the caption of a TikTok post featuring her impromptu haircut.

The clip was viewed more than 12 million times by stunned viewers, including fearmongers who warned Rusinko she would regret the impulsive piece. But her haters would eventually eat those words with glee.

“No regrets,” exulted the ever-satisfied bride.
