First look at the Bigme Hibreak Color E INK phone

The E INK phone market has only a few competitors and most of them won’t be around for long. Hisense has developed a series of smartphones but it seems they are leaving the market. The Litephone 2 was popular but the Litephone 3 no longer uses E INK. Bigme is trying to sketch a future with the HiBreak series of smartphones. They have a black and white version and a color model with Kaleido 3. Join us as we take a look at the HiBreak Color and our first impressions.

The Hibreak Color has a 5.84 E INK Kaleido 3-color e-paper display with a 720×1440 and 275 PPI black and white resolution. The color PPI is 91.9. The phone is black on the front and around the edges. The back is perforated, making it easy to hold. A front-light display has only white LEDs for reading in the dark, and is controlled by a software slider bar.

Under the hood is an octa-core MTK6765 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage; there’s also a MicroSD slot. There’s a 5MP front-facing camera and a 13MP rear camera. It supports a wide range of network bands with 4G connectivity. You can check out the full supported network range HERE . There’s a single microphone for talking to someone and it has a speakerphone. If you want to go hands-free, there’s support for Bluetooth 5.0 accessories. Users can charge the phone using a USB-C which is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.

One of the most attractive aspects of the Bigme HiBreak Color is Android 11 and full access to the Google Play Store. This offers customers millions of free and paid apps. Many people have their ideal choice for digital content and Play, although it is mostly everything. You can also choose to sideload your stuff. The phone costs $249.99.
