Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar‘s Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, known for his role in Amazon Prime Video’s Mirzapurhave entered a new chapter in their lives as Bollywood’s newest celebrity parents. The couple recently celebrated the arrival of their first child with a stunning maternity photoshoot, and now they’ve shared the exciting news: they welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday.

According to Hindustan TimesThe couple released a joint statement expressing their joy: “We are over the moon about the arrival of a healthy baby girl on 16.07.24! Our families are overjoyed and we thank our well-wishers for their love and blessings!”

The maternity photoshoot captured the couple in black and white. In the photos, Richa and Ali are seen tenderly touching her baby bump. In one photo, Richa is seen lying down, leaning against Ali, as they both seem lost in thoughtful reflection. Richa captioned the photos with a heartfelt message, “What could a love so pure bring into the world, other than a ray of light? Thank you for being my partner on this incredible journey @alifazal9, through this life and many more, through starlights and galaxies…”

Richa continued with a wish for their newborn: “May we bring forth a warrior of light, a child of compassion, empathy, healing and above all love.” She also added a Sanskrit verse, translated as: “That is infinite, and this (universe) is infinite. The infinite comes from the infinite. (Then) taking the infinity of the infinite (universe), it remains as the infinite alone. Peace! Peace! Peace!”

Richa concluded her post by explaining why she had disabled comments. She said, “Comments are disabled because this is the most personal thing I have ever posted.”

Richa and Ali’s love story began on the sets of the film FukreyThe couple’s romance blossomed into a commitment and they announced their intention to have an eco-friendly wedding ceremony in September 2022. They officially tied the knot on October 4, 2022, in Lucknow. Earlier this year, the duo shared the joyful news of Richa’s pregnancy in a post that read, “1+1=3.” The announcement was sweetly captioned, “A tiny heartbeat is the loudest sound in our world.”
