Wildfire rages in Angeles National Forest above Glendora – NBC Los Angeles

Firefighters battle a wildfire on a warm Friday afternoon in the Angeles National Forest.

Evacuations have been ordered for the 180-acre Fork fire in the mountains north of Los Angeles.

The fire started near East Fork and Glendora Mountain Roads above the community of Glendora. East Fork Road was closed from Highway 39 to Glendora Mountain Road.

A tall plume of smoke rose from the burning gorge.

There are no immediate details available about how the fire started.
