Take a stroll through Bayfront Park near downtown Petoskey

PETOSKEY — There’s no better way to start your day than with a morning trip to Bayfront Park near downtown Petoskey.

Bayfront Park spans 25 acres of land and offers a variety of amenities, including the Midway Commons, which connects the park to downtown’s Gaslight District, the iconic Petoskey Breakwater, and the city’s marina.

While walking through the park, the opportunities to admire the beautiful scenery of Little Traverse Bay are endless.

Not only is the park close to the city center, but it is also connected by a staircase leading to Sunset Park, next to a waterfall and access to the Little Traverse Wheelway.

Bayfront Park also has a playground for kids, a softball field and more. Right on Lake Michigan, the park also offers opportunities for swimming, whether it’s a jump off the breakwater or a quick run from the beach next door.
