Itel A50 coming soon in Pakistan with Android 14 Go and Dynamic Bar IPS display

Not so long ago itel A50 was launched abroad. And they finally decided to roll it out in Pakistan soon. It is a sub-entry level platform and affordable. All the specifications are focused on light tasks. Like all others in the segment this is also a sub-$100 phone.

Those specs reflect the price. There’s a 6.6” IPS panel with a notch on top. And surprisingly, they’ve thrown in a Dynamic Bar here to grace the notch. Perhaps adding some functionality in the process. Resolution is 720p HD+ at 60Hz, all standard. And they’re advertising a peak brightness of 480 nits.

10W Type-C charging helps keep the device topped up. And they’ve used a 5000mAh battery to power the itel A50. In terms of performance, we have an octa-core Unisoc T603 engine. 4GB or 2GB of physical RAM is present to do the heavy lifting.

There’s not much in the way of performance, but it makes up for it with its limited resources. The latest itel 4G mobile phone runs Android 14 Go out of the box. So it’s less intensive on RAM, processor, and storage. And for added convenience, it even allows for up to 4GB of virtual RAM.

Cameras here are basic, nothing special. An 8MP sensor sits on the back with an auxiliary unit. And then we have a 5MP selfie unit on the front. There’s a fingerprint reader on the side and it even has a Face Unlock feature. The official price of the Itel A50 in the Philippines is ₱4,099 (~PKR 19,500). The price in Pakistan will be around the same.
