Udupi, July 20: Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna criticised inefficiencies at the Udupi Urban Development Authority during a public interaction session on Saturday, July 20. He stressed the need to prioritise public services and address delays in processing of applications.

“Authorities at Udupi Urban Development Authority should prioritise serving the people. Delays in processing public applications should be accompanied by valid reasons, without unnecessarily increasing the waiting period,” Suvarna said.

He also announced plans to implement an online application system to streamline processes and increase convenience for applicants. This system will notify applicants immediately when their applications have been processed, allowing for faster document retrieval.

During the session, senior citizens raised concerns about delays and long waits. Suvarna assured them that their concerns would be addressed soon.

The meeting was attended by Gururaj Tahsiladar, Mahesh Chandra, Commissioner, Udupi Urban Development Authority, Ramya, Town Planner, Firoz, Town Development Officer, and other officials.
