‘We need to stop funding it’

U.S. Congressman Chip Roy (R-Texas) is calling for a defunding of the U.S. Secret Service after a series of inexplicable failures nearly led to the assassination of former President Donald J. Trump over the weekend.

For unknown reasons, the people tasked with securing the man Joe Biden and the media have vilified as the second coming of Hitler and a prime target for a potential assassin left a roof with a direct view of the stage wide open during Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday.

With little response from the government or the beleaguered head of the DEI Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, the Lone Star State lawmaker told Fox News host Laura Ingraham it may be time to starve the agency until it is held accountable.

“I am so upset as an American, so angry as an American, as a friend of Donald Trump, as someone who mourns the poor Comperatore family who buried their father, their brother, their husband tonight,” Ingraham said, referring to Corey Comperatore who was killed while protecting his family at the rally.

“I couldn’t agree with you more,” the congressman responded. “I mean, right now, the president of the United States, former president, and hopefully soon to be president of the United States Donald Trump, is alive, not because of what Secret Service did, but because he providentially turned his head, that’s the truth. And the fact is, the American people have had enough.”

“They’re tired of Lloyd Austin still having a job after Afghanistan,” he said, referring to “the black man” Biden put in charge of the Pentagon.

“Pete Buttigieg after derailments and you know, boats crashing into bridges,” he added, referring to the incompetent DEI hire who was picked to run the Department of Transportation.

Roy continued: “They’re tired of the FBI, they’re tired of the intelligence community, all those people keep their jobs, and now the Secret Service is putting the former president and the sitting Republican candidate in danger and they’re acting like nothing happened.”

“They didn’t even have a drone in the air. The guy who did it was flying a drone,” Roy said, referring to a Wall Street Journal report that 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who has no social media footprint, used a drone to survey the Butler Farm Showgrounds just hours before Trump’s attempted assassination.

“It’s absolutely unbelievable what we’re seeing here,” the Republican lawmaker added. “But this is the deal, we’ve got to stop funding it. We’ve got to stop giving these people jobs. We’ve got to hold them accountable, and to your point, I’m glad Mike Johnson said we need one task force. We need to channel it through one organized effort in the House.”

“We’re going to move quickly. I’m going to set up a task force on Monday, a special task force in the House,” Speaker Johnson said of the GOP’s effort to get some answers. “And the reason we’re going to do it that way is because it’s a more precise attack.”

The Secret Service has yet to explain how Crooks nearly killed Trump, and Cheatle has refused to step down. Biden has also failed to show leadership by firing her.
