Bad decisions and truth bombs shake things up as Days heads into the final full week of sweepstakes month.

This week ended with Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) wedding being interrupted by his mother, Fiona (Serena Scott Thomas).

From the moment Xander’s mother was first mentioned, it was assumed that she would expose Theresa’s (Emily O’Brien) plan.

That’s exactly what Mama Cook does, leading to some good old-fashioned soap opera chaos.

Alex and Xander confront Theresa

Fiona wastes no time in revealing that Angelica’s letter to Victor (John Aniston) is fake. Chaos ensues after she drops the bombshell that she wrote the letter to Victor, not Angelica, and reveals that Xander, not Alex, is the real Kiriakis heir.

It doesn’t take long for Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) to figure out what happened.

The confrontation we’ve been waiting for comes when Alex literally explodes at Theresa. Alex demands answers from his wife as Sarah, Xander, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), Bonnie (Judi Evans) and Justin (Wally Kurth) look on in disbelief.

Xander was afraid his mother would ruin his wedding, but he couldn’t have predicted this. A reversal of the scene shows Theresa trying to leave the Salem PD, but Xander stops her.

Oh yeah, the walls are closing in on Theresa and she has a lot of explaining to do! Meanwhile, the drama of the double wedding may be taking center stage, but there are also some new twists in the daytime drama.

Blackmail and new bedmates rock Salem

Brady (Eric Martsolf) walked out on the wedding shortly after Alex and Theresa became husband and wife. Although he misses the drama that unfolds, Brady still manages to create his own.

The wedding pushes Brady to the edge and he gives in to his demon, alcohol. Boozy Brady flirts with Ava (Tamara Braun), who perhaps enjoys his company a little too much.

As befits a true soap opera, they end up in bed together and the next day a sober Brady wakes up full of questions.

Meanwhile, at the DiMera mansion, Eric (Greg Vaughan) and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) compete over Nicole (Arianne Zucker).

Never one to be written off, EJ has a trick up his sleeve to keep Nicole and Eric apart. EJ threatens to tell Holly (Ashley Puzemis) that Eric was the one who murdered her father, Daniel (Shawn Christian).

Days of our Lives spoilers reveal that their fight leads Nicole to make a life-changing decision, which we know will cause Arianne and Nicole to leave the show.
