Kanpur: Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management and Research held its inaugural ceremony at its campus on Saturday. The guest of honour at the event was the Minister of State for Vocational Education and Skill Development (Independent In-charge Kapil Dev Aggarwal, while Prof BK Mohanty of IIM Lucknow, Abhishek Singhania, Chairman of Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management and Research, Partho P. Kar, Director, JK, were the guests of honour. The convocation ceremony began with Saraswati Vandana, followed by a presentation of the annual progress report by the institute’s Director, Prof Rahul Goyal. Minister Kapil Dev Aggarwal, in his address, heartily congratulated the graduating students for achieving an important milestone in their lives and careers. He emphasised on the importance of nurturing their creativity and passion in their chosen fields and encouraged the students to remain resilient and optimistic, irrespective of the ups and downs they face in their professional journey. Prof Devendra Jaiswal, Controller of Examinations, awarded degrees to the graduating students. Khushi Kanodia was honoured with the Chairman Gold Medal for her exceptional academic achievements, while Guneet Singh received the Chairman Silver Medal. Apanshu Sharma, Vasundhara Pandey and Aviral Srivastava were felicitated with Meritorious Certifications for securing third, fourth and fifth positions respectively. Prof. BK Mohanty from IIM Lucknow delivered an inspiring and motivational message to the graduating students during the graduation ceremony. He congratulated the students for achieving this significant milestone in their academic journey. He urged the students to utilise their education and experiences to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing world.
