Napoli give PSG discount on Osimhen

Napoli are keen to sell Victor Osimhen this summer, and it appears that their president Aurelio De Laurentiis is willing to offer Paris Saint-Germain a small discount on his €130 million buyout fee. Sunday PUNCH defeated.

The former Serie A champions want to use the money from his sale to fund reinforcements for Antonio Conte’s new project. However, no club has matched Osimhen’s release clause, delaying Napoli’s pursuit of Chelsea outcast Romelu Lukaku, among other targets.

According to Corriere dello Sport, De Laurentiis is now willing to slightly reduce the asking price to make a deal with PSG possible.

The French giants are interested in the 25-year-old attacker, who has reportedly agreed a five-year contract worth €14 million net per season.

Napoli wants to resolve the situation quickly, especially after it was made clear that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was not for sale. The club wants to bring in Lukaku once Osimhen’s transfer is completed.

Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, recently flew to Paris to assist with the negotiations.

Meanwhile, Napoli’s directors are working hard to find common ground after their training retreat at Castel di Sangro.

The potential sale of Osimhen could mark a major change in their transfer strategy as they look to reshape their squad under new manager Conte.
