Amid widespread outrage over a proposed law directing private companies in Karnataka to reserve jobs for Kannadigas, the state government is planning to increase the working hours of IT staff to 14 hours a day, the Karnataka State IT/ITeS Employees Union (KITU) said on Saturday.
