Man in hospital after early morning attack in Gloucester

A man is in hospital after an attack in Gloucester city centre in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 21 July). Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened on Wellington Street at around 12.25am.

A call was made to police and a fight was reported in the street. When officers arrived, a man was found collapsed near Eastgate Street. He was taken to hospital where he remains for treatment.



Two men, aged 25 and 36, from Gloucester were arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in custody for questioning.
