Yaa Jackson: Clip from actress’ first film with former Kumawood stars surfaces

Ghanaian actress Yaa Jackson, daughter of Kumawood director Jackson K Bentum, was introduced to life on set at the age of two.

The actress is 22 years old and now divides her attention between acting, music, modeling and entrepreneurship.

An old clip of her role in what appears to be her debut film has resurfaced on the internet, much to the delight of many Ghanaian movie buffs.

Jackson K. Bentum directed one of Ghana’s classics, Okukuseku, which was released in 2001. The film starred the late Agya Ntow, Bob Santo and Kwame Owusu Ansah.

Two-year-old Yaa Jackson was seen in the film playing her role in the video seen by YEN.com.gh. The role was a solid start to her foray into the film industry. She got her second role at the age of nine in Me wuo Akyi.

She was one of many child prodigies from Kumawwood who were tipped to dominate the scene with their acting talents, but her passion turned to music, which she attended to with full seriousness and attention.

Despite her break from the film world, the actress has a significant fan base with over two million followers on Instagram alone.

Last year, the actress fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a mother by having her first son with her boyfriend.

The Kumawood star reportedly received nine pieces of land as a gift from her father after the birth of her baby.

FDA warns Yaa Jackson customers

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Yaa Jackson was among the female celebrities who advertised body creams online.

The FDA announced on social media that not all of its products are registered, so people buy them at their own risk

This came after YOLO star Fella Makafui was arrested for selling over sixteen unregistered teas, creams and syrups to her followers following her BBL in Turkey.
