Torino are set to sign Che Adams as a free agent

Torino are closing in on Che Adams, with talks now in their final stages. The Scottish striker has approved the Serie A club’s project and is set to experience Italian football for the first time.

Adams, whose contract with Southampton expires next month, is also in advanced talks with Wolves. As he prepares to leave St Mary’s, the 27-year-old is keen to finalise his future before this summer’s European Championships. Reports suggest he is close to reaching an agreement with the Premier League club.

With 17 goals this season, Adams remains highly regarded and could still help Southampton secure promotion to the top flight. However, his departure on a free transfer is set to happen after five years with the Saints, who paid £15million for him in 2019.

Meanwhile, Southampton and Scotland team-mate Stuart Armstrong could also leave this summer. The 32-year-old, who is recovering from a season-ending injury, is considering a move abroad but remains focused on getting fit for the European Championships.
