A book report

In 2019, Kamala Harris wrote a campaign autobiography, The truths we hold. It was a big part of my support for her early in the 2019-2020 presidential race. I’ll give you a quick summary, which consists of the notes I put in the table of contents next to the chapter titles.

Then go buy the book. (Now also available in paperback and Young Readers edition.)

Eight mottos…

  • Test the hypothesis.
  • Go to the crime scene.
  • Embrace the everyday.
  • Show the math.
  • No one should have to fight alone.
  • If it’s worth fighting for, then it’s a fight worth fighting for.
  • You may be the first. Don’t be the last.

Now go out and get the book. The discussion of life mottos in chapter ten is a good campaign starter.
