Fans have only just discovered what Max Verstappen said to Lewis Hamilton moments after a controversial collision

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton exchanged a conversation after the Hungarian Grand Prix.

A video has surfaced of a conversation between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton after their controversial collision during the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Verstappen and Hamilton were involved in a dramatic collision when they made contact entering Turn One in the battle for third place on lap 63.

After the race, the FIA stewards made their final decision on the incident, while Oscar Piastri took his first Grand Prix victory in a McLaren race with a one-two, ahead of Lando Norris.

However, the race in Hungary was dominated by old rivals Verstappen and Hamilton as the two drivers briefly clashed after their collision.

The Briton hugged the Dutchman, who said: “We’ll talk later.”

During an interview, Verstappen blamed Hamilton for their collision.

“I went for a move that was all the way on but halfway through the braking zone, when I was already determined to make the move, he kept curving to the right,” he told Sky Sports.

“If I hadn’t turned around while driving straight ahead, I would have hit him.

“At some point, yes, then of course I block, because he keeps turning to the right.

“People always talk a lot about what happened in Austria, but that’s the first move and you just go straight, you keep your wheel completely straight.

“I had the feeling that it wasn’t on the first move, but then during braking. He keeps turning to the right, you can’t do that when someone is stuck on the inside.

“That’s why I blocked, otherwise we would have collided anyway because he turned me around. I made a move that was completely finished, I don’t think I braked too late, but we’ll see.”
