When Oliver Giroud will make his debut

On May 14, 2024, Los Angeles Football announced that Oliver Giroud would join the club, joining in July.

However, it is already July and the club has not yet confirmed when Giroud will make his debut for the Black and Gold.

So where the hell is Giroud? LAFC have been in no hurry to field him so far, given the Euros in Germany. France reached the semi-finals, losing 2-1 to Spain, and Giroud played the group stage matches in the second half. But he was on the beach in the knockout rounds, barring, and played 11 minutes against Spain.

Another reason the 37-year-old has yet to make his debut is LAFC’s incredible summer run. Although the unbeaten run ended at home against Columbus Crew at BMO Stadium, the Black and Gold have lost one game in 14 matches in all competitions.

LAFC forwards Denis Bouanga and Mateusz Bogusz lead the team, with Cristian Olivera and Kei Kamara also contributing.

That’s why Giroud is on vacation for the conclusion of the 2024 MLS season. LAFC is second in the Western Conference with 47 points, just two points behind rivals LA Galaxy, who have 49 points.

LAFC now have to focus on the Leagues Cup when they host Club Tijana at home this Friday. Four days later, LAFC stay at home against Vancouver Whitecaps.
