Devon funeral notices: Heartfelt tribute to much loved dad who died unexpectedly

The family of a much loved dad in Devon who died unexpectedly are among more than 70 who have paid heartfelt tributes to loved ones who have died recently. Don Bailey died unexpectedly but peacefully at home on July 17 and will be “greatly missed” by his family.

Every week we carry out the longstanding tradition of announcing the deaths of cherished members of our community here in Devon. Last week, the family of Anthony Haynes from Woolsery announced that the adored dad had sadly died and said he will be “very sadly missed” by all who knew him.




The notices are initially placed on funeral-notices.co.uk, which acts as a permanent space to remember lost loved ones. People can then add their own photos, tributes and donations, should they wish to do so.

Passed away peacefully in York Hospital on 2nd July, with his devoted wife Gill, by his side. He was a much loved father to Joanne, Darren and Adrian, and grandfather to Rebecca, Emma, Alexandria and Alysia. It is with great sadness that we announce, the passing of Irene Rutherford Marchlewski. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on the 4th of July 2024 aged 99. A devoted mother to Peter and Paul, loving grandmother to Del, Karl, Candice, Mike, Ross, Steve, Georgina, and great-grandmother to Megan, Darcy and Oli.
