Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), the 2024 Khalid bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship took place at Khalifa Sports City.

The event, organised by the MMA Federation, under the auspices of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council, was attended by His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the General Sports Authority and Chairman of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council.

The championship was also attended by the sons of His Highness Sheikh Salman, Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, along with senior officials including Dr. Abdulrahman Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and Kerrith Brown, Chairman of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF).

His Highness Sheikh Salman thanked Sheikh Khalid for his support and emphasised the great impact of Sheikh Khalid’s support on the development and performance of Bahraini MMA.

HH Shaikh Salman praised the efforts of the Bahrain MMA Federation (BMMAF), led by President Mohammed Qambar, for its contributions to the advancement of the sport and the formation of competitive national teams. At the end of the championship, HH Shaikh Salman crowned the winners and honoured the sponsors, wishing the remaining participants success in future competitions.
