West Mercia Police reported that at approximately 7.20am this morning there was a road closure on the A442 near Quatt, at the junction with Hampton Loade.

Motorists are warned to avoid the area.

In a post on social media site X, West Mercia Police said: “07:22 | Road closure A442 nr Quatt, Shropshire

Please be aware that due to a police incident there is a road closure on the A442 nr Quatt (at the junction with Hampton Loade).

“This may lead to increased traffic in the area. Find an alternative route. Updates will follow.”
