Bantwal: Catholic Sabha organizes felicitation and minority facilities camp

Bantwal, July 28: An information meeting on the facilities available for minorities was held at the Modankap Anugraha auditorium. This meeting was organised under the aegis of the Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh, Bantwal Zone and the Dakshina Kannada District Minority Welfare Association and Corporation.

Father Valerian D’Souza opened the programme by lighting a lamp and said that when officials and elected representatives work with the motto ‘Government’s work is God’s work’, the beneficiaries will be provided with all facilities.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik and MLC Ivan D’Souza were felicitated. Speaking as the guest of honour, Rajesh Naik said that he had provided grant to minorities when Yediyurappa was the CM.

Ivan D’Souza said that elected representatives should work for the welfare of the society.

Former Chairman of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Stany Lobo, former Chairman of BUDA Pius L Rodrigues, Chairman of PLD Bank Arun Roshan D’Souza, District Officer of Minorities Welfare Department Jinendra Kotian, District Manager of Corporation Yashodhara J, Zonal Chairman of Catholic Sabha Bantwal John Lasrado, Chairman of Programme, Secretary Austin Lobo, priests from various churches, Chairman of Community Development Cyril Noronha, Political Chairman Rayan Rodrigues and others were present on the dais.

President of Bantwal John Lasrado welcomed. Secretary Austin Lobo gave a vote of thanks. Alphonse Fernandes Nirkana presented the event.
