Traffic jams continue on Tambaram-GST Road after EMU train service is cancelled

CHENNAI: The two-day cancellation of EMU train services has led to major traffic congestion on the Tambaram-GST road for the second day in a row, Thanthi TV reported.

The Southern Railways announced cancellation of EMU train services between Tambaram-Beach and Chengalpattu on Saturday and Sunday after the Tambaram Railway takes place following renovation work at the Tambaram Railway Yard from July 23. This has disrupted both the long-distance express train services as well as the electric suburban train services.
