Jack Keating plans to base his new radio career on baby Maya

Jack Keating has settled into his role as a devoted father to one-year-old Maya and is looking forward to kick-starting his new career so he can get used to a new routine with his daughter.

Along with his father Ronan and other family members, Jack attended the star-studded Marie Keating Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic in Co Kildare on Thursday. He was in top form and ready to show off his skills on the course.

Aside from the fun times, the 25-year-old is focusing on his career and is currently preparing for his first show at Spin 1038, which will take place in the coming weeks.

Speaking to EVOKE, Jack said: ‘I’m currently working for Spin1038. I do a bit of DJing and presenting. I’ve been there for the last month and I’ve been getting some training. I should be on the radio within a week or two now.’

Jack is excited about his new adventure and says that he hasn’t completely given up on TV work and that there are two programs he would like to be involved in.

Jack would ‘love’ to do I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! He said: ‘I want a good challenge… I think I’m done with dating shows. If I was going to do another reality show, I’d love to do I’m a Celeb or SAS: Survival of the Fittest.’

And while he’s focused on his career, the reality star spends a lot of time with his daughter Maya.

Jack said Maya keeps him on the edge of his seat, saying, “She’s growing up so fast, it’s crazy. She’s in that toddler phase now where you literally can’t take your eyes off her.

“I took her to my mother’s and she had to have someone on Maya duty 24 hours a day. They just had to make sure she didn’t climb on things, didn’t climb on chairs, didn’t climb on couches, didn’t climb on anything.”
