Dewas (MP), July 28 (PTI) Three persons were killed after a truck collided with another truck on a highway in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district on Sunday, police said.

The accident occurred near Khatamba village, about 8 km from the district headquarters, on the Bhopal-Dewas highway, an official said.

A truck travelling at high speed rammed into a stationary vehicle parked on the side of the road this morning, said Amit Solanki, in-charge of Bank Note Press police station.

According to him, both the truck drivers and a cleaner were killed.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the truck had fallen asleep at the wheel, causing the truck to collide with the stationary vehicle, the official said.
