Protest: Enemies of Nigeria currently at work – Olu Alo

A renowned cleric and founder of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Adamimogo Grace Of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Prophet Sam Olu Alo, has warned Nigerians against the planned nationwide protest. He said enemies of the country are currently at work.

He urged the organizers of the protest to use God’s wisdom in the execution of the protest. He noted that the EndSARS protest should be an eye-opener for all Nigerians.

Alo said in a statement that a peaceful protest is meant to draw attention to the government of a country where hunger and deprivation are prevalent and to allow people to air their grievances. However, in Nigeria, protest is often hijacked by hoodlums.

He warned the organisers of the planned protest not to allow anyone in any disguise to hijack the protest, to avoid throwing the country into turmoil as they did during the endSAS period.

He said: “There is nothing wrong with people protesting to express their grievances, but as good citizens we should do what we want to do in accordance with the law.

“We must not allow the enemy of Nigeria to set the country on fire and destroy all the good things that the present government has done. If the enemy of Nigeria destroys the country, we are the ones who will suffer for it.

“During the endSAS protest, many innocent lives were lost, some banks, businesses and properties were destroyed, and some towns and communities are still suffering just because evil and wicked people took the opportunity to disrupt the peace of the country.

“We must not allow politicians to use us against Nigeria, we will suffer. I want to urge Nigerians to use God’s wisdom in protesting and not allow anyone to vandalize government property.

“All countries in the world are in trouble and Nigeria is no exception. All religious leaders should preach peace to their followers.

He, however, urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to engage with the organisers of the protest and tell them what the government plans to do to ease the burden on Nigerians.

“Speak to them as a father speaks to his son. Whoever is a leader is a father to all. Do not take the planned protest lightly, because people are struggling and Satan is at work.

“President Tinubu should address Nigerians. Nigerians are going through a lot, people are feeling the hardships but despite the hardships, God’s grace is on the country.

“Our lawmakers at the federal and state levels should also share the pain of Nigerians by cutting their salaries and allowances, reducing fuel prices and introducing a new national minimum wage.

“Nigerians are suffering, they want to hear peaceful words this time, government officials should love their people, Nigeria will live in peace and help will come very soon.”

“The South West, Ekiti State, the North and all the regions in Nigeria must come together for a solemn meeting and act in accordance with the law. Let us not use ourselves against Nigeria because people will suffer from whatever is destroyed. It will be good for Nigeria and the people who live there.
