Michelle Yeoh Is Badass in First Teaser for ‘Star Trek: Section 31’ Movie

“Somebody’s got to keep it alive, right?” During San Diego Comic-Con, Paramount+ unveiled the first teaser trailer for an intriguing new Star Trek spinoff film called Star Trek: Section 31. It’s not a series, but a one-off movie “event”—connected to the recent “Star Trek: Discovery” series. It’s intended to be the first true TV movie in the Star Trek franchise, and part of producer Alex Kurtzman’s expanded Star Trek universe. Section 31 stars Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh as Emperor Philippa Georgiou, who becomes an agent for a secret division of Starfleet. She’s tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, but must also confront the sins of her past. The cast includes Omari Hardwick, Kacey Rohl, Sam Richardson, Sven Ruygrok, Robert Kazinsky, Humberly Gonzalez and James Hiroyuki Liao.
