During the interview, Ranbir said, “I met him (Aamir) two years ago and he had tears in his eyes. I asked him what happened and he said, ‘I have spent 30 years of my life and the only relationship I have had is with my audience. I have no relationship with my children, I have no relationship with my mother, neither with his ex-wife (Kiran Rao). She was his wife then.'”

He added: “That’s what this profession demands. You have to give it your all. So the effort is also to find some kind of balance between your real life and your real life, and not be influenced by that ambition. I don’t want to be influenced by ambition.”

Currently, Ranbir is taking time for his family. The actor will soon be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana with Sai Pallavi. Meanwhile, in the podcast, Ranveer spoke candidly about various topics, including his relationship with wife Alia Bhatt and daughter Raha. He also shared insights about how he and his late father Rishi Kapoor shared a bond.

Ranveer also addressed the criticism his film Animal received for its endless bloodshed and misogyny for the first time. The actor blamed social media for the chaos. He said, “Social media created chaos. They needed something to talk about, so they went all out and said it was a misogynistic film. What happens is that the hard work that you have put in – I know the director had made Kabir Singh, who also faced the same thing – the hard work gets diminished. Because it gets this tag, which is not true, the perception has stuck with this film.”

The actor added: “So, the general public will speak very positively about the film, but there are a lot of people I meet who say to me, ‘You shouldn’t have done this film, we are so disappointed in you.’ And a lot of people from the film industry (said the same thing). I apologize quietly and say, ‘Sorry, I won’t do it next time.’ I don’t really agree with them, but I’m at that stage in my life where I don’t argue with anyone. If you don’t like my work, I’ll say I’m sorry and I’ll try harder next time.”
