On Saturday, July 27, a Hackett man was killed in a single-vehicle crash at 4:45 p.m. at 23204 State Highway 45 in rural Sebastian County.

Dakota Gardner, 34, of Hackett, was driving southbound in a 2001 Dodge. He entered a curve, veered off the road to the right and struck a tree before rolling over and striking another tree. The vehicle came to rest on the driver’s side, facing west.

The body was taken to the Sebastian County Coroner’s Office and next of kin were notified.
